Iron peak trail, NE of De Roux campground

Our group was skinning up towards Iron Peak and observed isolated cracking along the skin track. We heard whumpfing around 5000’ that seemed to propagate decently far. Roughly 10” new snow on crust. Weak layer under crust. The new snow slabbed up and was reactive in hand pit tests.
