Quick report

Broken clouds, wind light 270, temp35F, elevation 6000, East aspect, HS 125, found some un expected conditions, there is about 30 cm of new sitting on the EFC, in the area we sampled we found the contact on the new snow with EFC (that was very durable 2 days ago) has transformed and now was quite fragile, the break in the two latest snow events created another discontinuity as well. two separate column tests failed on 4 on the boundary between the two latest snow events, and failed on the contact between the EFC and the new snow on 14. Skied a few fairly steep pitches and found some un supported places that sloughed. We pulled back from a bigger slope we wanted to ski. Snow had warmed up substantially, trees were still holding snow but some tree bombs were evident.
