Quick report
Snow was heavy and deep. A mid morning warmup resulted in large tree bombs coming down all around us. It was hard to identify any distinct layers in the snow, and the it slowly and progressively got harder the further down you dug in the snowpack. Mid elevations and below had some greenhousing, with the top few inches of snow getting moist. We only saw small rollerballs as a result. No significant weaknesses were found, and no new avalanches were seen or triggered. Riding was good, but full throttle was necessary for not getting stuck.

Highly variable sky cover, although predominantly obscured. In the morning we had some hot sun breaks. Midday onwards the cloud height was a variable 6000ft, but dropped to about 4500ft by midafternoon. Scattered snow showers happened throughout the day and snowfall set in with more intensity (S1-2) as we were heading down at 3.
