Quick report
Dug a pit on a wind loaded slope. Dug down 130cm. First ice layer 60cm down, and another 20cm past that. The storm slab above 60cm appeared to be in two chunks, with the lower one more consolidated, top is from last week or even last few days. This top layer is very light snow. When compression testing, this top 30cm or so compressed with 2-3 taps. The second storm slab compressed after that within 5 slaps. With more pressure and jumping, the top 60cm slid, but took a lot of effort. At this spot, it seemed pretty safe, though we did observe some short surface cracks as we skinned up farther.
