Clouds rolled in again today and confined us to upper tree line slopes with trees for reference. Above 1300m the north wind did press the snow a little making for skiing that while, more work, wasn't too bad. Skiing in sheltered features is still great. Although the north wind did come in for a short period yesterday and alter riding conditions in some higher elevation features, it wasn't really enough to create an extensive wind slab problem. We were only able to detect small pockets of wind slab that, to be honest, didn't raise much of a concern. So other than having to search a little harder for soft snow at higher elevations, we felt confident on steep, exposed slopes. That is until we get more wind and snow. Then everything changes again! How fun.
