Bit of a sun/mf crust up to1000m Can feel the old crust up to about 1450m Easy for the new snow to slide off the old crust where it's thin and steep in the trees Dense windpacked snow around treeline and very wind scoured above1600m Saw an older size 2 west from us on a sun baked slope, small crowns on Lee slopes, all old. It was well below zero all day but the sun was giving a good melt on anything it could touch PSA, Fist time there and definitely didn't make a good up track, don't follow it!?
