With poor visibility in the alpine, we dropped down to 5 Mile to dine on some corn snow. This zone is low elevation and has been through a couple solid freeze–thaw cycles over the last week. We skinned up on scratchy, firm surfaces and were rewarded with soft, creamy turns on the way down.
Treeline is fully in spring mode now, and timing your turns to get out before the snow turns too soft and shmooey is becoming increasingly important 🌽 Gotta get it while it’s good 🤙
