Fraser Ridge

Clouds were low pretty much everywhere (1200m-1300m?), but opened up nicely in the lower part of the valley along the highway. The snowpack on Fraser Ridge was absorbing heat rapidly. Got a deep widespread whumpf at around 1100m in the early afternoon that was heard and felt by group members 75m apart. We cut our 2nd lap of the day short and got off the slope. Snow conditions changed quickly, so I'll keep that in mind if heading out on a solar aspect as we move into April. That and sunscreen.
