Interesting conditions on Morfee Mountain. 75cms of total snowpack and two prominent rain crust/melt freeze layers that are reactive. Facets exist underneath both of these rain/melt freeze crusts and are reactive to hard triggers- CTH 24 down 25cm on Facets/Surface Hoar (size 3mm) SP CTH 28 down 55cm on Facets/Surface Hoar (size 6.0 mm) SP These two layers exist everywhere throughout the North Eastern North Rockies within the upper metre of the snowpack and have also provided similar results.
