Avalanche Control Results Parker Slabs

Out of 20 small charges from an avalauncher we produce mainly small superficial results except for 2 deeper slabs. The small of these was triggered as as smaller slab initiated by the charge ran down the slope to the more sheltered area at the base. A sz 2 slab 100m wide and up to 60cm deep resulted. The larger event is shown in the attached photo. This was triggered directly by the shot and was 200m wide and up to 120cm deep running 300m to bury the road 2m deep. The Dec 18 layer is the suspected weak layer with depths exaggerated by wind loading.
