Shooting Crack in the South Rockies

Lots of shooting cracks and whumpfing in the Nordstrom Creek area today on steep banks between 1550m-1850m. Signs of recent avalanches failing on the mid Dec weak layer at lower elevations and slabs failing on the January 6th surface hoar layer at elevations around treeline.
