Skiing was better than expected up and over Shames (though it’s probably all melting by now). The hill got only about 6cm at top t, 12 to 15cm around the knolls, probably 20cm in the ALP. Snow was lightly water satured powder for a good amount of turns before heavily satured snow took over lower down valley bottom. Light wind was present at ridgetop only. The sun tried to come out, but it was mostly snowing throughout the am and early pm. Another avalanche cycle was audible in the distance. Visibility was good and glide cracks and avy crowns are more numerous than ever, they’ll be a concern in many runs if they don’t get buried completely in the next month.
