Western Rockies

Remotely triggered several size 1 avalanches on N and NE slopes from ridge top and in open trees between 2000 and 2200 m. Depth 35 to 40 cm, width 10 to 20 m, length 20 to 40 m. Not wide propagation but slid surprisingly easily on well preserved surface hoar layer. Just N of the Purcell forecast area.
