New snow in protected areas was deep but did not witness any instabilities on aspects we skinned and skied. Skied a protected south facing gully next to the slide path off the Commonwealth Creek side of Mount Smuts. At treeline evidence of storm slab but unreactive in the gully we skied which had terrain >30 degrees. Most of the alpine around was bare or had significant wind transport or affect. Slide path next to the gully was wind loaded and affected and had old debris up high.
