Freshfield Glacier

5 days on the Freshfield glacier. Around 2700-3300m elevation. From April 30 to May 4th. Snow and Northerly Wind on May 1-2 made for widespread WSL problem and wind affected snow. Significant warming and solar radiation on May 3-4. Good dry snow can still be found in shaded aspects. Wet looses seen on solar aspects. Small size 1 skier triggered on WSL. Glacier coverage is variable with probing from 70 to 300m+. (Often 300m +) but overall lots of open crevasses.
