Some armpit deep sled ruts up at Torpy now that it snowed 90-115cm in the last few days. You had to get up high above 1350m to get above the new rain crust so sledding in the burn wasnt great until you got to the very top. We dug a test pit at treeline (convenietly easy to do when you sled leaves such a deep track) and found the new snow seems to be bonding pretty well. We saw no signs of avalanches and experienced no shooting cracks or whumpfing when testing small untracked slopes. We avoided the alpine today to give the new snow some more time to bond, especially north and east facing slopes.
