I traveled mostly in the near treeline band, where there was about 6 inches of new snow with drifts well over a foot on the lee aspects. On north- and northeast-facing aspects, the new snow was soft and unconsolidated, and the only slide I was able to move was a small, loose, dry avalanche on a rollover, close to 40 degrees. The snow was well bonded to the crust below, which was collapsible on these aspects.
On east and southeast aspects, the snow was forming into cohesive drifts, and I was able to initiate shooting cracks and small slides on many small test slopes. These were sliding on the old crust which was supportive to skis and on due south aspects was supportive to boots. I was unable to see if there were any facets at this interface.
