We broke trail to the top of the Pinky Finger (with a little help). Trailbreaking was highly variable, ranging from only a few cm to boot deep depending on how the wind touched it. We also saw remnants of a few small avalanches on the way up
We topped out around 1600m. Going down, we found deep powder in the trees next to the finger. Lower down out in the open, around 1200m, the snow was very wind effected, with a breakable wind slab making for some challenging skiing. Fortunately that stretch was shortlived.
Also of note was the rain crust from Saturday, which we found up to 860m.
