Snow surfaces warming was delayed due to winds and clouds this morning. Once the sun popped out surfaces quickly warmed on all aspects BTL. Higher elevations struggled to soften today. Snow was still moist this AM below last nights MFC on E/S/W aspects at lower elevations. Tracking water in the UWW there are small percolation tubes that have started to make it down through a 30-40 cm 1F slab to the 2/17 interface which is a 3mm IF/MFC on top of facets to the ground HS : 90 cm's. Summary: Variable spring conditions that slowly warmed due to wind and clouds.
