Avalanche Information
A few small (D1) wet loose avalanches have run off of the steep, rocky slopes of Gothic on E to SE aspects in the past two days. Didn't notice any new activity today.
Weather
Beautiful spring-like day. Some light drifting off of high northerlies. cloud cover: clear; wind loading: light; snow avail for transport: small smounts
Snowpack
SE aspect at 12,000':  Top 25 to 30 cm is a mix of thick melt freeze crusts and ice lenses. Feb 11 crust/facet complex down 60 cm remains dry and untouched by recent meltwater. N aspect at 10,200' (previously wind eroded): Slab is about 40 cm and faceting (up to 1F-). Feb 11 facets are F+ to 4F-. Hard, non propagating results x2 (ECTN 22) NE aspect at 11,000': Slab is 70 cm, 1F+ down to Feb 11 (1mm rounding facets, 1F-) and basal weak layers are about 110 cm deep (2mm rounding facets, 4F). ECTX with non propagating failure at Feb 11 with additional loading steps.  East aspect, 10,000' at 1 pm. ~90 cm snowpack is wet (upper half) or moist (lower half), with free water pooling just above Feb 11 interface. Boot pen to the ground, ski pen still supportive. ECTX results. .
