Mount Apps in the Rain

Drove up the Buckley Bay main a bit past KM 11 until there was too much snow on the road to continue. Skinned the rest of the road up which was covered in snow and made it almost to the first little summit, following the NE ridge. Weather was misty to heavy rain, snow condition was very wet and heavy. Despite all the wetness, we did not see pinwheels but saw remnants of a small size 1 avalanche in a steep section at the edge of the trees (see photo). Despite not making it to the summit today due to increased KM because of snow on the road, we got a few good turns on some sticky snow.
