Quick Observation
The first idea was to go up Glacier crest and go take a look in the alpine. We turned back after 200m up when the wind was picking up (tree bombing everywhere was'nt confortable to keep going up with te persistent slab problem in the trees). We then went near the East avalanche path of Abott's ridge and opened a skin track in 80+ cm of powder up to 1800m elev. No drum roll, shooting crack or slab observed while opening the skintrack We did multiple handshear on the way up (max elevation at 1800m). Only one hand shear gave a result, moderate/hard SP at 80 cm down on SH. Density on the sliding surface was 4F. Test done at 1500m on east aspect, slope at 30 deg. Skiing was incredible, lets hope that the wind won't affect it too much
Weather
It got fairly warm as the day went on (especially at valley bottom, which got 0 degC). Ski quality was still excellent at 1300m and up
