ECTP-9 failing between crust layers at depth of 140cm and 145cm. Intermediate layer was rotting and unconsolidated. Settling and cracking witnessed on convex rolls in this isolated area while trail breaking. Dug to investigate. Pit was possibly affected by lee side deposit from over the ride just above.
