Quick report

Expected to see widespread avalanche activity after the warm up. Only saw one slab (R2-D2), though there was widespread D1 and smaller wet loose activity on solars. Some evidence of older cold snow slides, but again, less than expected. Widespread 3-5mm surface hoar sitting on top of the crust from the last few days. Snow falling out of the trees was a hazard.

Probably occurred Monday or Tuesday in the initial warm-up. Started as a shallow slab up high, then stepped down to deeper layers (Jan 4 interface?) mid-way down slope. Wet slab or hard slab triggered by warming? Hard to tell...
