-
Skied Provo Peak today and as expected noticed lots of wind slabs. We skied off a mostly west slope, with a little northwest up top. Our snowpit was 150 cm deep, which tells me that slope has been very wind loaded. The lower 60 cm of snow is faceted. An ECT resulted with some irregular cracking in the new snow depth. I thought I may have heard some collapsing stepping over a highly wind-loaded area on the summer trail ridge.

No avalanches were observed in the area. The snow was light, and skied very well.
