Quick report
Storm snow instabilities have settled out, with the only concern being sluffing on steep (> 35°) aspects. Did come across slide reported from East Bowl Pass by Patrick Fink where the weak layer may have been some faceted snow that formed following the Tuesday, April 8 storm. This particular slope may have had some wind loading which would make a deeper slab, but it is so isolated and did not propagate at all.
For Friday am expecting continued sluffing in any storm snow, and possibly wet snow issues if the sun comes out or there is any greenhousing or the wind picks up.
Snowpack
30-45 cms of dense storm snow, with graupel falling midday.
