Quick report
Objective today, Simple skit tour, started at approximately 1130 with 13 in the party. Mix of ski and snowshoe. Move through dense wooded area just east of intersection. Conditions went from partly cloudy to sunny. Temp range from 8 to 16 degrees at just under 9400 feet. Couldn't ask for a better powder day at that elevation. Witnessed wind loading of peaks to the N/NE as afternoon progressed and wind at higher elevation increased. Approximately 8 to 12 in of accumulation in the area. Moved cautiously with new snow cover adding to the steep creek banks and concealing multiple obstacles during decent.
