Cracking and collapsing on ridgelines, as well as in pockets as descending $1 Run. Snow was highly variable mix of primarily windboard, ice, breakable crust until the lower meadows near the parking lot, where it transitioned to more enjoyable and predictable wind recycled pow. The skin track to gain $1 Ridge was heinous from the pass.
