On the first major bend in the road on the alpine loop, 2 small avalanches covered the road. We crossed the avalanche path at 3pm and a returning snowshoe group said they had been out since noon and those avalanches were not there at noon. The snow debris across the road was about 4 to 5 feet high and 10 to 15 feet wide.
