From the Aspen Grove parking lot - low snow depths, especially on solar, low elevations, were apparent. With increasing elevation, probing in flat terrain around 8700 revealed a snowpack of 60-80cm in depth. No new avalanches, cracking or collapsing, or other obvious signs of instability were observed. However, the snowpack structure remains obviously poor. A snowpit from a due north facing slope is attached.
Snowpack
Solars have taken on heat in the Aspen Grove area, and have since refrozen. Polars remain cold.
