<p>The snowpack structure remains a concern. Pit test results @8,727 E facing: CTE - (five taps, on the storm snow, melt-freeze interface), ECTP Q1 16 on the Jan-8 rime crust/facet interface. One interesting thing we found is that, at least where we dug around, the facet layer was 1finger hardness. We haven't observed this before and found it interesting enough to report (see attached photo for an attempt to capture these grains on a 3mm grid).</p>
