Quick report
A beautiful cold, sunny morning with lots of new snowpack. Started early out of Pilgrim Creek with plenty of coverage on road 19. Around 6000’ the snow was too deep to do more than look at avalanche terrain. We saw no signs of natural avalanche activity on the south and west aspect of ash creek nor on the east/south aspects of dry creek peak. Snow was dry light with a crust layer ~100cm . Measured 175cm in the typically thin, wind blown cut block switchbacks of 42N43, and 280cm on both the north and south aspects of this ridge where snow has blown and filled in. Tree wells were very deep with light snow.
