Snowpack
Some dry, new snow from the day before capped a solid and thick melt freeze crust. This snow was getting more moist throughout the day due to the sun and we did have some small roller balls (pictured) in this surface snow on descent, but nothing alarming. The old facet layer under the crust was moist. Had a CT 11 on the crust/ old facet layer interface, but crust was so stout I don't expect this to be an issue (couldn't even kick off a peice of the crust when trying to fill in snow pit). Snow cover is thin to non-existant below about 7000', and higher up on intense solar aspects.
