Creating this ob in order to upload this snow profile image. We saw this avalanche while riding into the Tony Gove/Naomi area.
Nearby on a NNE facing slope at 8450', we found 115 cm of snow. The entire bottom 1/3 of the snowpack is faceted. The weakest layer is at 55-50 cm just above a 2 cm thick decomposing crust. We got an ECTP17 on this faceted layer.
We dug on a ESE facing slope and recorded the profile below.
