In wind exposed areas small avalanches were easily triggered with the weight of a person, sometimes from far away and sometimes right at your feet. About 10-12 inches of storm snow sliding on a weak layer of buried facets/surface hoar. The problem was much less noticeable in sheltered trees. Very touchy- with more wind and snow I assume there will be much larger avalanches sliding on this layer.
