Quick report

Toured up Flanders. Observed active loading once above treeline with high W winds. On the SE aspect, new snow from the previous week had not yet consolidated into a slab, but between our first and second lap I did notice the snow under my feet beginning to stiffen into a wind slab. We dug on a SE aspect just below the ridgeline at 9860.’ HS 100cm. In our pit we found the PWL down 20cm, but without much of a slab on top, it was unreactive. We expected this to change with ongoing wind loading.
