Quick report
We toured up a mellow ridge up to the top of the Flathead Range near Nyack Mountain. There was a supportable crust up to 6,500 ft in elevation on both aspects. Above 6,500, travel conditions alternated between breakable and supportable crust. With a breeze most of the day, there was little warming up mid- and upper-elevation slopes. Even at upper North-facing slopes, we were unable to find cold, soft snow. We noted multiple slides from the past week.
