Quick report
There was a crust at the surface from yesterday's heat and sun on many slopes - particularly south through west facing. It was typically 1" thick, "pencil" hardness, and breakable on skis in many areas. The snowpack was still dry and faceted once you got down ~6" from the surface. Shady slopes had no crust and dry faceted snow at the surface.
We saw a number of roller balls coming down from rocky areas and also some very small loose wet avalanches, either from yesterday afternoon or this morning's sun.
The top couple inches of the snow was wet on sunny slopes, but yesterday's crusts had not yet broken down as we exited around ~1:30 PM.
