During a brief clearing today, I could see evidence of several recent natural avalanches in the Wellsville Mountain Wilderness from across Cache Valley. A very broad and long-running slide in Pine Canyon stood out. Unfortunately, I was unable to get any good pictures. This one, from more than 10 miles away, shows maybe a 1/2 mile wide crown below the ridge and a dirty (wet) debris flow running down to around what I estimate to be around 6200 feet in elevation...
