We found more than expected heavy new snow at the top of Beaver Mt. There was some isolated collapsing and shooting cracks around terrain features, but the new snow seemed fairly well bonded to the rain-saturated Christmas snow surface. The weak, faceted snow near the ground was moist but still pretty weak, and we got mixed test results, a few showing slab propagation but not clean...
