- <p>No activity at this time, but a red flag is the areas with a shallow snow pack. These areas which includes the areas which slid are not gaining strength as we find in the deeper snow pack.</p>
I placed the snow profile next to an avalanche that took place during the strong east wind event after the last storm. The snow was pit was in a shallow snow area due to the winds from earlier storms. The first ECT broke at the ground at 7, the second after the back was cut. This pit had small brush at the ground level which caused the slab to break at ground level.
The third pit was adjacent to the first pit and had over three feet of snow, this had a ECT of 23 and slid on the facet under the storm around Christmas.

- <p>Low danger until we get another storm and reload old slides or shallow areas. Moderate in the upper elevations in the shallow snow pack areas</p>
Most slopes had a melt freeze crust, or damp snow on east slopes. Only the most sheltered slopes had 3 inches of powder.
