Quick report
We found extensive wind effect across the area traveled. The snowpack still has well preserved buried surface hoar a foot to a foot and half from the surface. Previous Glide Avalanche activity and hollow sound in isolated areas where there was enough snow deposited for wind slabs to form.

Snowpack
We dug pits at 2610' on a SE aspect and 2720' on a E aspect with a snow pack of 2 and half feet deep (75-80 cm) with three layers of buried surface hoar. The first was about a foot down (22-24 cm) with soft snow (DF) above it. The others were down about a foot and half (37 cm, and 49 cm). The bottom of the snow pack is dry and has an array of growing facets. Our tests showed no propagation results and are as follows: ECTX, CT11, and CT 14, (down 37 cm) both on the second layer of surface hoar.
