We observed some older wind slab releases in the mountains around summit lakes. We dug into the snow at 2950' on Tenderfoot on a NW aspect to take a look at the basal facets. The height of snow there was 130 cm. The bottom 20-30 of the snowpack is fairly loose and large facets which would not make a snowball. We cut across the basal facets in a PST and got 60/100 End @ 100 cm down. We also found what we think is the Feb 10th crust/facets combo about 30cm down from the surface which failed in in an extended column test on the 11th hard tap. Ski conditions were comically bad.
