Quick report
During an East Coast Avalanche Education course we traveled to Sterling Pond and dug a few pits for instability tests. No propagation was found in our ECTs. In fact the new (6โ) snow was pretty well bonded to the old layers. We found faceted rounds in the deeper layer (60 cm thick) and stellars with a mix of graupel in the newest layer.
