Quick report
Caught Sam on the porch of Hojos. With a plan of trying to ski a little before the storm we made for the bowl. After observations yesterday, we thought the best bet for skiing would be the lookers left side. As we got to the base of the bowl I noticed things looking a bit different than yesterday, most notably in Left Gully and The Chute. We observed fairly constant active wind loading. A good sized pillow had formed overnight under the choke of Chute. Left Gully also had more snow and looked smoother. We ascended up towards Left to get a better look up the gully and see how much snow was in there. From around the base of Left of Left we could see some larger wind slabs in the gully proper. We decided this was our turn around point and skied variable new drifted snow out.
