10:30 Hermit Lake wind L/W, S-1, HN 1-2cm, TAir -3.5C, OVC 11:45 Tuckerman Ravine Floor wind L/Swirling, S2 of 2mm PPsd, TAir -3.0C, TSurf -4.0C, OVC 12:30 Higher on Tuckerman Ravine Floor wind L/Swirling, S2 of 2mm PPsd, TAir -3.5C, OVC 13:30 Hermit Lake HN 7cm, S2 to S3 On descent to Pinkham Notch, microspikes picked up progressively larger clumps of snow progressively more frequently strongly a sign of increasing SWE. Performed 1 Compression Test and got no results. Bomber!

Winds light with snowfall rate steadily increasing during time spent there.

Snowpack

Pit 1: HS 50-60cm. 3 layers: 0-40cm up 1F to P hard higher up of DF, RG Rounds, 40-45cm up K hard IF, 45-55 up 4F hard of PPsd, DF. CTN Pit 2: HS 78-95cm. Left side had 3 layers with same structure and same hardness as Pit 1 with lowest layer being 0-62 up, MF layer being 62-72 up , top layer being 72-78 up. Right side had the same 3 layers except below it was another MF crust between 49 and 52 up and below that was the bottom layer 0-49 up that was DF with 1F hardness. Both pits were very similar. If there was an avalanche problem it would be Dry Loose, however the strengthening storm would certainly change this. No PWL or Slabs noted.
