Quick report
We observed little sign of thermal input into the upper snowpack. The sun was intermittently hitting the mountains surrounding us but we stayed out of the sun for the most part. It looks like SW facing slopes were affected by winds a few days ago. New snow was not effected by wind. No signs of instability.

Little to no wind
Snowpack
Bear creek could have been re-named Bare creek as there was little snow until about 4,500 ft elevation. As we gained elevation the crusty snow became less pronounced and the snow became soft and cool. At upper elevations there was 3-4 inches of fresh snow that was unaffected by any overnight winds. Pit results: HS: 160cm CT27 at 130cm from ground ECTX February 3rd crust was around 100cm from ground.
