Quick report
Started spring break with a bluebird morning in Essex. Temperature was 14F when leaving the car at 0745 and 34F upon our return at 1345. We skied S and SE aspects up to 6800'. Lots of solar input and minimal wind meant the morning's fluffy snow was begining to moisten and get heavier by 1030. A high cloud layer moved in a little before noon, slowing the warming. Kicked off one small wet loose on a steep >40* rollover at 5800' on a SE aspect at approximately 1220. It ran slowly less than 100 vertical feet, 15-20 feet side at the termination of debris. Otherwise no signs of instability and minimal signs of warming (no roller balls, trees shedding, etc.) during our quick tour.
