Quick report
Blue skies and sunshine abound! Small but very vertical surface hoar feathers were seen on most aspects we observed, and also some 10+mm feathers in a few spots. We skied W and NW aspects in sheltered terrain up to around 6500’. Aside from some icy chunder from a few tree bombs, we didn’t encounter crusts. The top several inches of the snowpack is just in-cohesive sugar. Sweet on the way down, but just leaves you wanting more (traction) the rest of the day.
