Quick report

No sign of recent natural activity in the area but still found our widespread weak layer under a couple ice crusts.

The bad formula for this avalanche problem is triggering this weak layer from a shallow spot and then propagating to a whole face and a deeper slab.

Please submit an observation or DM/email us if you see any surface hoar where you're skiing/riding before this upcoming storm.

Old avalanches around Gulkana (week+) on South aspects, some breaking to the ground.

Snowpack

We were able to find the right formula for affecting our buried weak layer.

A thinner slab (45cm) on top of facets.

ECTP13 (Full propagation) Keep an eye out for this setup.

We didn't see any surface hoar today in this area but if you ride Summit before the upcoming storm please drop an observation.
